Have you ever been driving some place and ended up at home without really remembering how you got there? The reason for this is that sometimes we are not consciously present in the moment. We can physically be somewhere, but our mind can be somewhere else completely. When this happens, it is a sign that we are being robotic, that we are simply existing and not deliberately injecting life and love into our lives.
Today, practice being more conscious in what you’re doing. Remember that the point of spirituality is to get out of our robotic state and to become a more proactive being so that each and every action we do—from the moment we wake in the morning until we go to sleep at night, from interacting with the people we meet during the day to how we behave at work—must be a conscious choice on our part and not simply a reaction to outside circumstances.
