Your self-worth is not found inside the thoughts and minds of other people.
– Matt Haig, THE COMFORT BOOK Questioning your own reality can shift your perspective.
When you find yourself listening to the stories in your head, speaking negatively, or making judgements about others, ask yourself this simple question, “Is it TRUE?” Is it possible that it is only your interpretation, rather than fact? Is there an opportunity to assume positive intention or have a more compassionate dialogue instead? We are often assuming scenarios and judging others and ourselves. But having the ability to question ourselves gives us an opportunity to become more self-aware and open hearted.
Be more kind than you think is necessary.
Offer your seat to a stranger. Smile. Say a loving word. Believe in others. Think generous thoughts. Your compassion will change the course of someone’s life, and during that, it will change yours, too.
The same boiling water that softens a potato, hardens an egg.
It’s about what you are made of, not your circumstances. Let the Past Go. A Simply Abundant World Awaits.
– Sarah Ban Breathnach There is virtue in work, and there is virtue in rest. Use both and overlook neither. -- Alan Cohen People often say that motivation does not last.
Well, neither does bathing. That is why we recommend it daily. – Zig Ziglar Joy is a divine response to a life well lived, a lighting up from the inside out. It exists despite the burdens you carry and the troubles that arise in your life. Your greatest responsibility may be giving yourself permission to feel joy along side grief. The depth of your joy can rise above sorrow. But first you must decide that it can.
